Engine Cowling Bracket

The engine cowling bracket was just one piece of the puzzle for 425 Fabrications over-sized Plane on Sticks project. The engine cowlings for the Hawker 700 that 4FD mounted on poles as a monument for SC Aviation were specially designed to incorporate LED Lights and withstand high strength winds as it would live in the midwest. This was no simple task. These engine cowlings originally mounted directly to the engines. The engines were removed from the plane for weight and safety reasons, thus a new way to mount the cowlings had to be designed. The new design simulated the structural portions of the engine, allowing us to use the existing connection points.
